My Story
Wendy works from home & Chris is a Practice Manager at UTMB. We have two girls Alex (25) & Payton (23) and fur-parents to 4 spoiled fur-babies. Alex is married to Jacob Easely (26) and they have their new baby boy Spencer who is 10 months old and have 5 fur-babies and Payton has our 2 fur-babies and we also have a grand tortious baby. Wendy loved being at home with our family, but when it was time to bring in a little extra $$, She was concerned about giving up her flexibility and availability to our family. She didn't want to sacrifice school events, field trips, doctor’s appointments, or have to worry about getting a sitter, etc. In August of 2006 while living in Greenwood, AR., a friend of her’s showed her a catalog, She had never seen the product before, right then she was instantly drawn in to the Scentsy business opportunity. We loved scented candles, but both of us were concerned about the fire and safety danger, especially with our children running through the house, our cats jumping on the counters and burning themselves or just forgetting to blow the candle out.
Wendy went home and showed her husband Chris the catalog. We discussed it and decided it would be a good opportunity, since we move around alot and I could take it to each new place we move. We thought, finally, a flameless, wickless, scented candle that's safe, elegant, fragrant, no black soot, or lead being released into the air. The other benefit was that when you get immune to one scent you can reuse it at a later time. Then we knew that Scentsy was an amazing new item to introduce to our friends and family. Also, Scentsy is much less expensive than jar candles, so we were saving money. Every angle, was win, win for us. It isn't every day you get the opportunity to be part of a new, fast growing company. After selling Scentsy for a few months we realized that this amazing product sells itself, low startup costs, tons of incentives, lots of benefits, and so much more. While in US Coast Guard, my husband got orders to transfer to Guam in August of 2007 & with Scentsy help we were the 1st consultants to take Scentsy to out of the US. Then in October of 2007, We moved up to the Rank of Director. In May of 2009 we moved to Florida. In September 2009 we moved up to the Rank of Star Director, and then in October 2009 we moved up to the rank of SuperStar Director. After my husband got out of the US Coast Guard, in May of 2010 we moved to back to our Home, Santa Fe, Texas. In May 2012 we bought a house in League City, Texas. Chris became a Nurse in June 2012 and he helps Wendy share it with our family & friends while working our Business together.
In 2013, I earned my 1st incentive trip. An all expenses paid to British Columbia for myself & my husband! In 2018 I earned another incentive trip on a Mediterranean cruise stopping in Spain, France & Italy. But my hubby and 2 girls come 1st. We got to take our Girls to Disney World for Christmas. So I choose another option to spend time with my Scentsy Family at our annual convention in Cali where I got to go to Disneyland. In January 2020, I earned another incentive trip to our annual Scentsy Family Reunion in Salt Lake City, UT.
We never imagined that only after 18 years on August 11th of this year, we would be where we are today. We never thought that this business would change our family’s life in so many positive ways!! We have met so many amazing people who we have made lasting friendships!!! We enjoy showing people how easy it is to sell Scentsy helping them create their own journey with Scentsy. We are grateful for our Team of Wax Boss ladies & men who have created their own journey’s and helped others create a journey for them also.
We love our job as much as we love the product. We bring in an income that far exceeded our expectations, all without having to give up time with our family & friends.
